The West Fjords

Untouched nature, arctic foxes in the wilderness. Látrabjarg is Europe’s largest bird cliff, with millions of nesting guillemots and other seabirds. The cliff is 12 km long and over 400 m high, and marks the westernmost part of Iceland and therefore, Europe. Majestic mountains, deep blue fjords, seals and clean air. The thunderous waterfall Dynjandi is the biggest waterfall in the West fjords. Nature’s silence is the most lasting impression for many travellers visiting the West fjords. We sail to Vigur Island, the pearl of the west. Historical windmill, eider farming, Puffins and the charming athmosphere of days gone by.

Snaefellsnes Peninsula

Arnarstapi boasts unbelievable natural beauty, rugged shore cliffs and abundant bird life. Nearby is a wealth of caves, volcanic craters, chasms and fantastic lava formations. Here is also an ideal place to enjoy the unique, mysterious and dynamic spectrum of the Snaefellsjökull glacier like in the book 'The journey to the centre of the earth' by Jules Verne. We cruise between the islands of Breidafjordur fjord, and last but not least are our whalewatching trips from the town of Olafsvik. We’d like to mention that in these waters there is sometimes a chance of seeing a blue whale, the largest mammal on earth. more details

The National Park is also on the UNESCO world heritage list as one of the most important cultural and natural heritage site in the world.
